» Le Velaqua ? What is it ?
The Velaqua [pronounced Vellaqua] is the first uncapsizable, unsinkable and ecological aquabike or water bicycle. It allows you to remain afloat and to move yourself around in the water : you just need to pedal to go backwards or forwards.
A frame, two floats, and a dose of good humour is all you need for many sessions of good fun in a swimming pool or at the sea-side.
Conceived originally for medical purposes as a method of functional and cardiac reeducation in a swimming pool, the Velaqua soon evolved into something to really enjoy.
Fun for all, this aquabike is perfectly adapted for sports use by persons aged 9 to 99, for the perfectly fit and for the disabled.
The Velaqua cannot be capsized (its centre of gravity is below water level) and is worked by leg or am power, or the two at once.
Its benefits as relaxing spa equipment and as exercise machine particularly recommend it for physical re-education.

Aquagym is an activity increasingly appreciated by people from all walks of life. Many pool managers see the Velaqua as a real opportunity to create a new choreography and get away at last from the old and tired water configurations of the past. A big plus is that the Velaqua allows aquagym to take place in pools whose depth used to exclude safe Aquagym.

A new toy and something truly different is always a pleasure, whether it is enjoyed alone or with friends. And as a plus, it's good to look at, even (or as well as) at night, when it become phosphorescent (an option) !
. Disabled persons
With a Velaqua equipped with the two flippers and two levers to work them, or with two electric motors and a specially conceived orthopaedic seat, installed in seconds, the severely physically disabled can at last be independant in the water and go as they please in either pool or sea hence its name "Liberta".
. Beach services and boat rental
These professionals can now offer equipment that is not a pedalo, as the Velaqua cruises "in" the water and not "on" the water. At the Paris Boat Show, not only the originality of the Velaqua got notice, but also its very reasonable price compared to other beach recreation equipment.
