Who hasn’t laughed out loud while watching the weird characters from the TV show Intervilles fall off a people mover ? Intervilles has been part of French childhood for generations and has become a French institution, and has since gone international as « Almost anything goes » in the USA and « It’s a knockout » in the UK.
This broadcast, which features a sporting confrontation between two cities reminds everyone in France that summer has arrived and holidays are on the way. Created by Guy Lux and Claude Savarit for RTF’s prime channel, the first broadcast took place the 17th July 1962 and was an instant success. The crazy games, the hilarious personalities and the famous mini-cow all helped to make this programme unique.
Everyone adores the programmes’s « shanana » music. Intervilles has become a legend as much because of its presenters as its concept : Guy Lux, Léon Citrone and Simone are inseparable from the legend. 200 broadcasts later, Intervilles is still considered an unmissable part of summer by millions of people. Currently broadcast by France Télévisions, the programme is presented by Julian Lepers, Tex, Nathalie Simon, Olivier Alleman, Alessandro di Sarno and Corti.
In 2009 Intervilles will feature Vélaqua races, clear proof that the Vélaqua is a success. A spécial model has been created for the programme.
