The Vélaqua (pronounced Vellaqua) is the first uncapsizable, unsinkable and ecological water bicycle. It allows you to remain afloat and to move yourself around in the water: you just need to pedal to go backwards or forwards.
A frame, two floats, and a dose of good humour is all you need for many sessions of good fun in a swimming pool or at the sea-side.
Conceived originally for medical purposes as a method of functional and cardiac re-education in a swimming pool, the Vélaqua soon evolved into something to really enjoy. Fun for all, this water bicycle is perfectly adapted for sports use by persons aged 9 to 99, for the perfectly fit and for the disabled.
The Vélaqua cannot be capsized (its centre of gravity is below water level and it is technically impossible to capsize it even in severe sea conditions) and is worked by leg or arm power, or the two at once. Its benefits as relaxing spa equipment and as an exercise machine particularly recommend it for physical re-education.
